Plans and Programmes
Environmental management and protection programmes and plans are a means of setting objectives and approaches for achieving them, including the implementation of specific activities and measures. Programmes and plans are prepared for a defined period of time and need to be updated when circumstances or legal requirements change. Our team develops:
- Waste management programmes for recovery organisations for widespread waste streams and for entities meeting their recovery targets for such waste individually;
- Information to the Executive Environment Agency (ExEA) on the implementation of the measures set out in the waste management programmes of recovery organisations and of entities meeting their targets individually;
- Municipal waste management programmes;
- Support for voluntary agreements, consumer/producer expert panels or sectoral negotiations for drawing up specific waste prevention plans or targets for particular enterprises or industrial sectors;
- Municipal environmental protection programmes;
- Municipal programmes for reducing pollution levels and achieving the established limit values for harmful substances in ambient air;
- Management plans for protected areas;
- Management plans for Natura 2000 sites;
- Action plans for wild plant and animal species.
